Is My Destiny Predetermined By God? | Bible and Tea Time

Man Thinking

Question:

Is My Destiny Predetermined by God?

Answer:

Yes, your Destiny is predetermined by God even before you were formed in your mother’s womb.

Jeremiah 1:5 God told Jeremiah “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

Just like Jeremiah each one of us is fearfully and wonderfully made by God also our Destiny is predetermined by God to accomplish a specific task or purpose on this earth which He had appointed us to do.

If a natural human who is created by God can manufacture a product or a device and before manufacturing, he already predetermined the specific use or purpose of that product. Therefore, God in His infinite wisdom is able to do far more than we can ever imagine.

Sometimes life becomes so difficult and you may ask the question; Is my destiny predetermined by God? Especially if you are going through struggles, God told Jeremiah before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you, I appointed you a prophet to the nation. The same applies to you, in the spiritual realm your destiny is already ordained and consecrated and fulfilled by God, but in the natural earthly realm each day as you live your destiny is fulfilled in your life.

"In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will" (Ephesians 1:11) (Romans 8:28-29)

Is My Destiny Predetermined by God? - Can My Decision Alter My Destiny:

Yes, your decision can very well alter or detour your Destiny.

God is the one who preordained your destiny, but the Bible teaches us that God also gives us the free will to choose (Revelation 3:20). God Created Adam and Eve and they had the ability to make moral choices, God had prewarned them not to eat the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden neither shall they touch it, because they will surely die. Therefore the fall of man in the garden was not preordained by God, it was their own choices based on disobedience instead of obedience to the voice of God (Genesis 3). So you can alter or detour your destiny based on whose voice you are listening to, and also the friends you associated with, and the choices and decisions you make.

Another good example is the Prodigal Son in the Bible (Luke 15:11-32), he made a rash decision that caused his destiny to detour but later when he was between a rock and a hard place he recognized that he had fallen from his divine destiny and immediately returned home to his father in full remorse.

Is My Destiny Predetermined by God? - What Can I Do To Fulfill My Destiny:

Prayer is the key that can help you to fulfill your Destiny, also obedience to the word of God. The devil will use his tricks to cause all sorts of distractions to remove your mind from prayer and the word of God. Therefore, self-decision will step in and you'll begin to make important decisions without consulting God. But to fulfill your destiny it is important to consult God through prayer and specifically intercede on every decision in your life. Before attempting any decision, King David inquires the Lord and awaits the answer at all times.

Under Grace Dispensation, the Holy Spirit will lead you on the appropriate path to fulfilling your destiny that was predetermined for your life. Also, the Holy Spirit will strengthen you and remove the strongholds that the devil intended to use against you to block, alter or detour you from accomplishing your destiny.

Conclusion:

Is My Destiny Predetermined by God? Your Destiny was ordained and commissioned, and the devil cannot destroy it, no matter how hard he tries. The devil's intent is to destroy your destiny and to stop it from being manifested because his destiny has been doomed by God.

Remember King Pharaoh and the Children of Israel God had hardened Pharaoh’s heart in order to get the Glory and also to manifest His handy work for His people Israel.

Moses God’s servant, whom He had chosen and predetermined to lead the Israelites out of bondage and with all the obstacles and resistance from Pharaoh, it was impossible to detour their destiny. For as much as Moses was a very meek and humble man of God, he also listened and obeyed the voice of God.

Therefore, Meekness and Humility play a major role in your Destiny along with listening, obedience, prayer, believing and trusting God at all times even when life circumstances seem dark and impossible.

Your Destiny must and will prevail over every hindrance, (2 Corinthians 10:3-6).
