Without Shedding of Blood There is No Remission

Jesus Christ on The Cross

Without Shedding of Blood There Is No Remission:

"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." (Hebrews 9:22).

Under Law Dispensation almost all things are purged with blood. The reason the writer says "almost" is because there were a few exceptions such as fire, water and incense were used for purification.

When we think of Blood from a biblical viewpoint we think of atonement, death, forgiveness, and remission, (Leviticus 17:10-14). It is the blood that makes the atonement for your soul, to shed blood something has to die, and forgiveness is to pardon or let go of the person who has done you wrong without demanding any payment for the debt owed. Also to cease holding the person guilty after they have acknowledged and repented of their sins. Remission is very similar to forgiveness, but remission takes away the sins (John 1:29; Hebrews 10:4).

Genesis 3:21 - First Shedding of Blood:

In Genesis Chapter 3, we have learned of the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden, where the serpent converses with the woman and enticed her to partake of the tree in the middle of the garden. The woman told him that God commanded them not to eat or touch it or else they will die. But the serpent told her she would not die, God knew that the day they eat of the fruit from the tree in the midst of the Garden their eyes would be opened and they shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

The woman was deceived by the serpent and saw that the tree was good for food and pleasant to the eyes, and also desire to make one wise. Therefore, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband Adam (Genesis 3:6). Proceeding to Genesis 3:21 God made coats of skin and covered them. Due to their disobedience, they have sinned and the first shedding of blood was done by God who made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.

Israel was Bound in Egypt For 430 Years:

Blood over the Door post

The Children of Israel were bound in Egypt for approximately 400 years under the afflictions of King Pharoah, suffering in slavery hoping that the Lord God would deliver them from the Egyptian's bondage.  God had revealed the future to Abraham in Genesis 15:13, that for sure his seed will be afflicted by the Egyptians for a period of 400 years, prior to the actual event and this was referring to the Children of Israel.

But in Exodus 12:40 "Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years." This verse includes Abraham and Issac also when Abraham had lived in Egypt.

While the Children of Israel were in Egypt, God spoke unto Moses and Aaron and gave them specific instructions on how to prepare and eat the Lamb or a Goat kid. Exodus 12:5 "Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the year: ye shall take it out the sheep, or from the goats.  Exodus 12:7 "And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side post and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it."

When God passes through Egypt that night to execute judgment the Children of Israel were safe because they obeyed God's instruction and strike the blood upon the two sides of the doorpost and also the upper side of the doorpost. Therefore, the animals served as blood coverage and protection to save their lives. The blood of the lamb or goat symbolizes the blood of Jesus Christ and what was to come in the near future according to God's promise.

The animal's blood was a substitute for their sanctification, so without the shedding of blood, there is no remission. This shows that the atonement was made for each household to free the children of Israel from captivity and bondage.

The Covenant and Restoration:

Jesus lifting His hand

The Old Covenant that God made with Israel required concise obedience to the Law or else death also daily and yearly blood sacrifices were performed in order to atone for their sin.

The Old Covenant was mainly based on the works and a shadow of good things to come (Hebrews 10:1-4). Also, it was pointed toward the Messiah who would redeem His people once and for all.

Whereas the New Covenant promises us the fulfilment of God's perfect plan for mankind through Jesus Christ, but only to those whose hearts are surrendered to Jesus Christ, (Jeremiah 31:31:34).

Hebrews 9:15 "Therefore, he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgression committed under the first covenant.

Luke 22:20 "And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

This was pointing to Christ fulfilling the scripture by His death, burial, and resurrection at Calvary. Also, His shed blood would make an atonement for us.

Leviticus 17:11 told us that "For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes the atonement for one's life."

The blood of Animals was temporary atonement but the blood of Jesus Christ prevails forever and forever, it is eternal.

Conclusion:

God created us as perfect beings, but due to the serpent's deception in the Garden of Eden, causes a gap between man and God. But the perfect blood of (the second Adam) Jesus Christ restored us. This only applies to those in Christ who believe and accept Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord.

The blood represents life and this is why Jesus Christ died for us. Offering up His life and blood to redeem us from death, also the awesome Promise of Eternal Life (1 Corinthians 15:49-58).

Exodus 12:11-13, These verses are powerful revelations showing us how the Children of Israel obeyed what God had commanded them to do and by doing this they were fully covered from the wrath of God upon Egypt.

Moreover, we who are covered under the Blood of Jesus Christ, then if we obey God's moral commands and principles we also are covered and secured in the arms of God.

It is Jesus' blood that makes the difference because without shedding of blood there is no remission.

Bible and Tea Time With God

Bible and tea time, teatime

"Bible and Tea Time With God"

When I was a child one of my favourite places was to visit my Grandmother and my Grandfather's house. Entering the room the first thing that was so noticeable to my eye as a little girl was my Grandmother's Bible and her beautiful China-wares (Teapots, Teacups, and Saucers). When my parents and I arrived my Grandmother would pray and ask a family member to read the Bible and later tea would be served. Looking back at those moments it was definitely a Bible and Tea Time with God at Grandmother's house.

Bible and Tea Time With God - The Word of God was Handled with Care:

Bible and Tea Time, pouring tea from teapot to teacup
During those days it was one Bible per household and the word of God was handled with care. If the Bible falls on the floor my Grandmother would tell us to kiss the Bible and say Lord forgive me for accidentally dropping the word of God. Therefore, the Bible was handled with special care and the word of God was cherished.

Also, my Grandmother had two sets of teacups: One set for Regular Visitors and another set for Foreign Visitors from England, America or Canada. When the Foreign Visitors were gone those teacups (China-wares) were washed and set apart, and we were not allowed to use them under no circumstances.

These teacups (China-wares) were made from high-quality Porcelain which is a special ceramic material called China and they were very expensive. Therefore, my Grandmother chooses to set them apart for special moments.

Bible and Tea Time With God - We Too Are Set Apart For God:

We Christians are similar to my Grandmother's Bible and Teacup and how she handled them with care and they were set apart for special times. We are also special to God, chosen and set apart for His purpose.

Today we can give God the praise and the glory for the Blood of Jesus Christ who had washed us and called us into this marvellous Salvation.  In time past we were considered outcasts and lack of knowledge, but today we are more knowledgeable about the Principles and Doctrine of our One and Only Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Omniscient God.  Therefore, to remain faithful and strong in God it's important each day to dedicate ourselves to a Bible and Tea Time moment with God to eat the Bread of Life. Which is the word of God, also consider this time set aside with God as Devotion and Spiritual Nourishment for your soul. The Bible clearly stated that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).

Matthew 4:4 - Is encouraging us to eat the word of God by reading and studying them, and keeping them on the tablet of our hearts. For in times of trials, temptations, and physical weaknesses, we will be able to draw inner strength from the word of God. In Matthew 4:4 Jesus drew inner strength when He quoted these words from Deuteronomy 8:3  to the adversary. We should do the same considering that our battle is not physical but it is spiritual. Therefore, we have to use the spiritual weapon which is the word of God to combat the devil and his tactics against us.

1 Peter 2:9-10 - But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Conclusion:

Just like my Grandmother's teacups, chinawares they were set apart for special moments to entertain visitors. We too are chosen and set apart to be Labourers in God's vineyard to do the work of the Lord until time shall be no more. But until then we can continue to saturate ourselves in God's sanctifying Grace.

Giving Birth to Your Purpose

Hannah praying to God

Giving Birth to Your Purpose

"Giving Birth to your Purpose" that is wrapped up in Eternity with God but in the fullness of time it will surely be manifested in your life.

This is the story of Elkanah, a man who lived in Ramathaim-zophim, in the hills of Ephraim. Elkanah had two wives, in those days it was permitted. One was Hannah and the other was Peninnah, Hannah the love of his life was infertile, while Peninnah the unloved wife was fertile.

Now Peninnah would scoff and laugh at Hannah each year as they went to Shiloh to worship God at the Temple. But if only Peninnah had known that though Hannah was infertile, she was about to give birth to her purpose which was in the mind and in the palm of God's hands.

Can you imagine? How humiliated and sorrowful, Hannah must have felt while Peninnah taunted and embarrassed her year after year. During this time Peninnah was constantly giving birth and fulfilling her purpose as a wife, whereas Hannah was unable to fulfill her purpose. This was very devastating and heartbroken for Hannah because Peninnah would mock her publicly on the way to the Temple yearly.

Weeping Hannah was determined that she would give birth to her purpose no matter how long it took her even though she was infertile. Therefore, this caused Hannah to weep in anguish and cried bitterly in prayer before God (1 Samuel 1:10).

Hannah's tears of bitterness and infertility have come up before God in prayer since God in His Wisdom and Sovereignty has closed up Hannah's womb, today we would wonder why would God do something like that. Hannah was infertile, her husband loved her the most and yet she was still unhappy.

Hannah was driven by purpose, but she was unaware of it. When you are purpose-driven or pregnant with a purpose it is like fire shut up in your bones, remember the Prophet Jeremiah, he was also purpose-driven (Jeremiah 20:7-11). Even though purpose will put you in a negative situation and causes you to become a public mockery, but that is just how purpose works, purpose provokes one's faith, endurance and perseverance.

Hannah's situation was so negative It causes her to seek God even more desperately, she refused to eat and her husband Elkanah had so many questions, why Are you not eating? Why make such a fuss over not having no children? Isn’t having me better than having ten sons? (1 Samuel 1:6:8).

Purpose is About to Be Conceived:

Each and every one of us has a purpose in life, we weren't born by accident. We might not know our purpose but the Sovereign God knows what He has ordained and commissioned us to do. Giving birth to your purpose, you can plainly see an illustration in (Jeremiah Chapter 1:4-5).

There are times when we are interceding to God through prayer for various things in our lives. Whether it's a child, a spouse, a job, a career or any other request, just like Hannah's situation.

Often times we become discouraged because our request to God has not been fulfilled. But everything God does it has to be in His own time and season. Hannah wanted a child for years and God closed her womb.

In the Old Testament days being infertile was considered a curse. Hannah knew that the same God who had closed her womb, it is the same God who is able open it. Therefore, Hannah poured out her heart and soul before the Holy God of Israel. At such time she vowed a vow and made her specific request known unto the Lord of Hosts.

There are times in our lives when we are going through our dark season but we can not understand why, but in our dark season that is when God is setting us apart to impregnate us with His purpose that is tied up in eternity. But what we need to do in that season is to submit ourselves to God in prayer and fasting so that we may receive what God had pre-ordained for us. Just like Hannah her final prayer request to God was "Let thy handmaid find Grace in thy sight." She knew by this time Favour was granted unto her because her countenance was no more sad, and purpose is about to be conceived.

Giving Birth to Your Purpose in The Fullness of Time:

Now Hannah woke up early the next morning and worship God, and returned home to Ramah and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and she was conceived.

Hannah gave birth to her purpose, a son she named him Samuel meaning "name of God" or "God heard." Hannah kept her vow to the Lord and brought the child Samuel back to the Temple at Shiloh. Where he served under the leadership of Eli the High Priest.

At a set time, the Lord commissioned Samuel as a Prophet, Priest and Judge.  He was also a Nazarite from birth.

Commemorating Hannah's Dilemma

  • Her adversary provoked her yearly and humiliated her in public.
  • She was unable to eat.
  • She seeks God desperately in the Temple at Shiloh.
  • The Priest Eli thought she was drunk.
  • She vowed a vow to God.
  • The Lord God granted her Grace.

Giving birth to your purpose oftentimes seems like a delay and a disappointment, but God has the past, present and future in His hands. God knew from before the foundation of the earth that Eli's two sons would not be capable because their sins would defile them from taking over Eli's office as a High Priest before God. Therefore, God had closed Hannah's womb, waiting for the set time to give birth to the one who would take over Eli's duties.

As we look back on the Scripture we can see the work of Samuel in the Kingdom of God. Samuel was an active Judge, Priest, and Prophet and God uses him to commission King Saul, as well as King David whose Geneology is sitting on the Throne of God at this present time and will remain forever and forever.

Conclusion:

Based on the word of God we can acknowledge that God created each one of us for His purpose. These are some of the patriarchs that God used to fulfill His divine purpose Jacob, Joseph, Jeremiah, Samuel, King David, and Jesus Christ).

Purpose: defines your existence or the reason for which you were created. But primarily it is God's will upon your life, and also purpose has a set time to be manifested based upon God's perfect timing over each person's life.

So let us hold on to God's unchanging hands while He uses us to demonstrate His purpose on earth for His Glory!

Gideon Mighty Man of Valour

Men blowing trumpets

Gideon Mighty Man of Valour

God appointed a series of Leaders in the book of Judges, after the death of Joshua. These Leaders were called Judges to protect God's people (Israel) from their surrounding enemies. The Leaders were unique in their Military, Administrative, and Spiritual abilities ordained by God to perform their tasks. One of the greatest military Judges was Gideon Mighty Man of Valour.

 Who Were The Midianites:

The Midianites were descendants of Abraham with his second wife Keturah after the death of his first wife Sarah (Genesis 25:2-4)In addition, the Midianites afflicted Israel in many other situations also they were a very fierce nation. (Numbers 31) (Numbers 25:17-19).

The Children of Israel Did Evil In The Sight of God:

(Judges 6:1) “And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.”

After 40 years of peace, the Israelites began to worship and practice idolatry again. Disobeying the Law of the true God of Israel and began to worship Baal the god of the Pagans.

Therefore, God removed His Divine Peace and Protection from around them and allowed the Israelites to be oppressed by the Midianites for seven long years.

In the Book of (Exodus 13:21-22), we can see God’s Divine Protection that He had given to the Israelites a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. This was a Symbol of His Faithful Protection in order to allow them to escape from their enemy Pharaoh whether day or night because of their obedience. But now because of disobedience in the Book of Judges the children of Israel are hiding from the Midianites.

Since they have realized that God has given them over to their enemies, and the only covering they have now are dens, caves, and strongholds in the mountains.

Penalty For Israel's Sin:

In the Book of Deuteronomy, the penalty for sins and trespasses against God was given to the  Israelites, and it was still applicable in the Book of Judges when they refused to obey God.

(Deuteronomy 8:19)“And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.”

Israelites Cried Out to God - Devastated and Hungry:

Now Israel was reduced to poverty because of their enemies due to their disobedience to God. Once again the Children of Israel cried out to God for His Divine Deliverance and Peace.

The Midianites, the Amalekites, and other neighbouring nations around them came and took their crops when it was ripe and time for harvesting. These enemies also took their sheep, oxen, and donkeys, and leave nothing for the Israelites to eat. Both crops and livestock were taken, and the children of Israel were reduced to poverty, hunger, and terrified so they escaped to the mountains to save their lives.

Now can you imagine this? You are a Christian living for God but somehow have backslidden into idolatry, refused to repent and turn. After hearing and listening to the word of God as it is Preached, but still refused to repent and turn from your sinful ways.

God's Grace and Mercy have been patient with us but now God had decided to remove our blessings and all we can do is weep. How devastating and awful this would be. That is why it is good to seek the Lord God in prayer and repent before our sins find us out, and ask God for the strength to turn us away from that particular sin.

Conclusion:

Gideon Mighty man of Valour was very shy and doubted the call of God on his life when the Angel of the Lord told him to go in this might and save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Therefore, he answered the Angel saying wherewith shall I save Israel, look my family is poor in Manasseh, and I'm the least in my father's house.

Gideon saw himself as not worthy or qualified for the position, but he was quality in the eyes of God. When God chooses us to perform a task He already prepared us with all the necessities, His power, might, and authority. Therefore, we should step out in boldness and do as the Lord said.

Judges 6:17 “And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then show me a sign that thou talkest with me.”

We see here in Judges 6:17 how Gideon requested a sign from the Angel of God and he granted it unto Gideon. Later Gideon was convinced that he had seen the Angel of the Lord and the Lord blessed Gideon with His peace and assured him he will not die and also removed Gideon's fear.

Gideon had obeyed the word of the Lord and had done all that was required of him. He also cast down the altar of Baal and cut down the grove that was by it, in order to restore true worship to the Children of Israel once again.

When we think about the goodness of God we are to Worship and Adore Him because God is no respecter of a person and God doesn't call the qualified but He qualifies the called.

God has done this for Moses, Gideon and many more in the Bible and He will do the same for you. When the enemy says no God says yes because He already qualifies you for the next level of your promotion.

What Was Meant For Evil God Uses It For Good

Joseph son of Jacob, Bible Verse Genesis 50:20

What Was Meant For Evil God Uses It For Good

“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive.” (Genesis 50:20). Joseph spoke with love and compassion to his brothers, as they were trembling with fear after the death of their father Jacob. Remembering the evil that they had done unto Joseph, but he kindly assured his brothers what was meant for evil God uses it for good.

Life transitions are usually difficult and challenging, most times they occur with pain and uncertainty. When we pass through these life transitions just keep in mind that "what was meant for evil God uses it for good" to perform a work in His Kingdom.

Many years ago my life went through a transitional period, it was one catastrophe after another. In this life, we will face adversity that can leave us desolate. But the best comfort is the Word of God, the Lord God is a Friend, a Comforter, and a Healer because He imparts knowledge, wisdom and strength into your life especially when your spirit is weak and you are feeling downhearted. When the adversary afflicts you it gives you a greater urge to search the scriptures. While searching the scriptures, the word of God will come alive to you with revelations, guidance, and hope, and this will heal your wounded heart and mind.

What Was Meant For Evil God Uses It For Good To Fulfill His Purpose:

Then, I thought about how a Caterpillar morphs into a Butterfly. He had to undergo a life transition period from a Caterpillar to a Cocoon or a Chrysalis in order to fulfill his purpose to become a beautiful Butterfly. I often wondered if this process is painful for a Caterpillar. Likewise, when you become a servant of God you are a new creature spiritually. Therefore, to be transformed into this new creature (the new man) you will be wounded by the troubles of this life, but eventually, you will be rooted and grounded in  Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit into a new creature.

God Was With Joseph And He Prospered:

One night after praying, Joseph the son of Jacob (Israel) came to my mind.  Immediately I began to search the Scripture. Genesis 37, and Genesis 39 to Genesis 50 foretell the life of Joseph and how he was maltreated by his brothers. In Genesis 37:3 we were told that Israel loved Joseph more than his other sons because Joseph was the son of his old age, Israel also gave Joseph a coat of many colours. This coat symbolized Royalty and Leadership, and we all understood later that Joseph was a type of Jesus Christ.

Due to jealousy and hatred, his brothers had failed to see who Joseph was and they also refused to speak to him in a peaceable manner. Therefore, they sold him to the Ishmaelites for 20 pieces of silver (except for Reuben). The Ishmaelites brought Joseph to Egypt, and later they sold him to an Egyptian named Potiphar an Officer of Pharaoh.

Joseph was 17 years old when all of his brothers except for Reuben and Benjamin, sold him to the Ishmaelites, this was definitely a transitional period for Joseph. He has been torn away from his Father and younger brother Benjamin to a strange land. Once he had migrated to Egypt he suffered many afflictions, but the Lord God was with Joseph, and he prospered.  Looking back at the life of Joseph I can assume that there were days when he thought that his life had crumbled and he would never see his Father again.

But sometimes, life brings us to a place where it seems like all hope is gone. But let's not forget that we serve an Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnificent God. We can also say today what satan meant for evil God uses it for good, in order to keep His promises to His people.

But God has the answer for every situation, sometimes He causes the storm in order to push us toward our purpose. Other times God allowed the adversary Satan to create the storm and as long as we are in line with the Will of God; we will prosper and reach our Destiny.

Many years had gone by and God's Divine Purpose had already been orchestrated in Joseph's life. After the death and burial of Jacob (Israel), Joseph's brothers bowed before him, and they said, Behold, we be thy servants, And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?

God Was With Joseph From The Pit To The Palace And He Prospered In Everything He Does:

The greater the intensity of your afflictions, the more prominent and more significant your blessings from God will be.

Joseph was favoured by God and also his Father Israel, and no matter where he went favour was over his life. From the Pit to the Prison to the Palace nothing could stop "Favour" It was in Joseph's Spiritual DNA so it has to manifest in the eyes of the public and his brothers. The same applies to you if the Favour of God is in your Spiritual DNA neither mere man nor satan can not abort God's favour.

There are times in our lives when we go through battles or life transitions, and we lose our focus and begin to wrestle against the individual or the situation. But often times we forgot that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12-13).

But put on the whole armour of God that we may able to withstand in the evil day. Meaning when you are going through these difficult times; Indulge yourself in the Word of God, Prayer, and Fasting always, and you will be delighted to see that by doing this the light of God will shine through and deliver you.

Conclusion

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). The death of Jesus Christ upon the cross, the enemy was not aware that this was the plan of Salvation that God had promised to us (John 3:16). But what was meant for evil God uses it for good to give us eternal life.

So, When afflictions arise it is better to keep your focus on the Lord God just like Joseph, and God will always direct your pathway.

Changes

Daniel praying to God

Changes

Let's talk about “Changes”, changes could be overwhelming and frightening and also can lead to Anxiety, especially when it is sudden. This World that we're living in is ever-changing from the time of Daniel during the Babylonian era until today.

Changes can also be difficult to adopt because it requires a new mindset. Before adopting any changes, it is necessary to seek the mind of God first to determine if it is in line with God's plan for your life. Throughout all the changes and customs that were imposed upon Daniel in Babylon, he refused to submit. But humble Daniel still continued to petition the Lord God in prayer even when there was a Decree against him concerning the Law of his God.

As Believers in Christ, we are living in this world but we are not of the world.  It is very easy to be caught up or enticed by all the worldly changes and pleasures, but we have a better Home awaiting us and also a Crown and Eternal life with our Saviour Jesus Christ. We are urged by Apostle Paul not to be conformed to the changes of this world.

Romans 12:1-2"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

To be transformed by the renewing of your mind: Do not allow the world system, nor your own understanding, nor any pessimistic opinions of others to govern your mind, but allow the Word of God through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to transform and guide you into the Will of God for your life.

A Brief Background About Daniel:

Daniel means "God is my Judge" or "Judge of God." his place of origin was Jerusalem and he was from the tribe of Judah.  A very noble young man who was taken into captivity at around 15 years old along with others.

Daniel portrays an excellent spirit, he was righteous, obedient, and loyal to his God. He was also favoured by God and He gave him the ability to interpret dreams and visions even when he was in captivity in Babylon.

Daniel was a Major Prophet and a mouthpiece for God during the 70 years of captivity in Babylon. He is also a mouthpiece to the Gentiles Nation because Daniel's prophecy declared both the current and future plans of God for His people.

Daniel had served under the Kingship Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, Cyrus, and Darius, Daniel was a Statesman but due to his excellent spirit and working ability, his coworkers became jealous of him. He is also the Author of the Book of Daniel through the inspiration of the Spirit of God and some chapters were written in Hebrews and Aramaic.

Jesus Christ made reference to Daniel in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14. Also other references to Daniel the Prophet can be found in the Book of Ezekiel 14:12 to verse 20; Ezekiel 28:1-3. In Daniel 9:1-2 we can see Daniel searching the book of Jeremiah to inquire about the Desolations of Jerusalem and found out that the captivity will endure for seventy years.

Let's See How Daniel Survived During These"Changes:"

PrayerFasting, and a Personal Relationship with God was Daniel's source of survival in Babylon.

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber towards Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime (Daniel 6:10)

This is an act of boldness, humbleness, and obedience to God. We would think that Daniel would have obeyed King Darius' Decree, but no, Daniel was purposed in his heart that he would not be conformed to the Babylonian world or systematic changes. Though he was living in a strange land according to Psalm 137, he had decided to still do the requirements of the God of Israel and refused to bow or worship any other gods or idols.

Jesus Christ is still the same yesterday, today and forever more. We can see all sorts of changes around us in this dark world but we should still hold on to the Principles of God's unchanging hands. Many Christians had let go and adopted the ungodly things or sold their Souls to satan and the kingdom of this world. Today they are bombarded with great difficulties and consequences and are tormented and can not find peace within themselves.

But dare to be like Daniel, he knew of the Decree against him and His God, but Daniel knew that he was not guilty.  These men were bold enough to find fault with God who is Faultless and Wise. Jude the brother of Jesus Christ says it better. Jude 1:24-25 "Now unto Him, that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.

Daniel 6:4 "The presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom;' but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him."

Daniel 6:5 "Then said these men, we shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Therefore, these men continued with their conspiracy and requested a Decree from King Darius. "The Decree was that every man that shall ask a petition of any other God or man within thirty days shall be cast into the den of lions."

But Daniel a servant of God who was full of wisdom knew that bowing or worshipping an image is unaccepted before God (Exodus 20:4, Acts 17:29) Therefore, Daniel continued in obedience and humility to make petitions to his God three times a day.

When Daniel did not yield to their request he was thrown into the lion's den by his Conspirators, but our Omnipresent God kept the lions from hurting Daniel (Daniel 6:22). The Peace that God had promised us in the New Earth under the New Covenant God fulfilled the very same in the lion's den for Daniel (Isaiah 11:6).

Daniels’s adversaries eventually fell into the plot that they had set up for him, it was God who spoke to the heart of King Darius to toss these men and their families into the lion's den. Did you know that the King's heart is in God's hand?  (Proverbs 21:1)

Conclusion:

King Nebuchadnezzar had changed Daniel's Hebrew name to a Babylonian name "Belteshazzar" but could not change Daniel's character and his belief in the true God of Israel.

Therefore, when you are faced with "Changes" in this world, whether it's at work, school, among your peers or at home. God has given you the Strength and the Authority of the Holy Ghost to overcome these changes like the Prophet Daniel.

So, let us not change our beliefs to accept the principles of this ungodly world which is temporal, instead let the Beauty of God be manifested in us so that the unsaved can inquire about our God.
